So I was going through my jump drive today and I came across this unfinished whatever it was and I really want to finish but I cant find my story notes or characters bases or anything for it on my jdrive... what's sad is I know I wrote it but I wanna know what the hell happens! Stupid brain why didn't we finish this!?
"I've created a safe haven for all those like us." Leaning back against his throne Jessen smiled softly. "No one can harm us here."
"But for how long? The government knows about us now. Hiding isn't an option anymore."
The grin slowly faded from the young mans face, he narrowed his eyes at the girl before him. "We aren't hiding!" Standing, he threw the golden sword across the room. "We're living! Have you seen what they to do to people like us?"
Walking forward the twenty year-old stood hotly before Mackenzie, his sheer height making her feel uncomfortable. "My girlfriend.." He started. "Was torn apart, ripped open so they could find out what made her tick! Why she was different! She never did anything to anyone to deserve that kind of torture! So if we have to hide out underground in fucking sewers and abandoned houses, then we will. Because right now, there's not enough of us out there to fight back."
Mackenzie took a deep breath while looking around the room, "My friend, Joshua. They were, they were at the junkyard."
"Then I'm sorry for your loss, you are welcome to stay here of course, but I'm afraid our accommodations are a little stressed right now." Jessen looked pass the brunette and stared at the packed room, nodding silently towards the other occupants before he turned and headed back towards the heavy wooden throne.
Somewhere behind her, Mackenzie heard a small baby start to cry out, screaming to the best of it's small lungs ability, causing her to jump. Her eyes were starting to burn from unleashed tears. Joshua was...
those men were...
they were going to...
"You're wrong!" She shouted in defiance.
Jessen looked up towards her with a surprised look on his face. "Beg pardon?"
"Josh is the strongest person I've ever known, he's not dead! And I'm going to get him back!"
"Don't you get it? If you go anywhere near those people they'll cut you open, they'll bleed you dry! You'll die."
Shaking her head Mackenzie stared defiantly at the elder man, her eyes never wavering. "Then I die." Wiping a hand across her red stinging eyes, she smiled. "Because I am not leaving him to those people. He helped me get my power under control, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be able to touch anyone with electrocuting them."
"You don't even know where they've taken him."
"No. But I wont stop until I've found him."
Jessen closed his eyes, pausing a moment to gather his thoughts. "They took him what, maybe a couple of hours ago?"
"About..." The brunette cocked her head to the side, curious to the mans sudden question. "Why?"
Emerald eyes peered from behind raven bangs, staring intently at her. "Then they wont have gotten far, did they see you?"
"I, I think, pretty sure they did."
"How many where there? At the junkyard?"
Mackenzie took a step back as Jessen hopped off his thrown and made his way to stand before her. "Five at least."
"Then there should be at least three more. A doctor, probably a nurse, of course, and the driver, those five were just the sub-doers." Turning to stare behind him, Jessen called out for someone named Saskia.
A girl with dark black hair, almost purple in sheen, came forward, her skin a deep bronze with eyes so brown they were almost black. Saskia stepped up next to Jessen, showing off her height as she towered over the man.
"What are you doing?" Mackenzie questioned nervously, she had no idea what was going on, one minute she had been yelling at this man and the next she was being thrown for a loop as he started asking questions about the men who had attacked her and Joshua.
"If this was just a small group we can take them. We can get your friend back before they get out of the city. Saskia here is an excellent tracker, she should still be able to pick up their scent."
"But I thought you...?"
"Listen, I know I may seem like a coward but you've haven't seen what these people can do. They've taken so much from all of us here, and... and maybe it's time we gave them something in return. Something to show our generosity."
Mackenzie blinked in surprise at Jessen's sudden change in personality. "But-."
"Look, do you want my help or not?"
"Yes!"
"Good."

"Get off me!" Joshua screamed as he bucked against the hands holding him down.
"Son just calm down. I promise we'll make this as painless as possible."
Hazel eyes turned to stare at the white jacketed man. "I'm not your son! Call your dogs off."
"I can't do that kiddo." Placing a stiff hand on Joshua's chest to hold him still the doctor looked over at the nurse who was flicking air bubbles to the top of a syringe. "I know you don't understand this right now but you're a danger to those around you."
"What!? No I'm, listen to me...!" The sandy blond shrunk back as the balding man placed a quieting finger over his split lip.
"They'll be time for talk later, right now you need to rest." Smiling gently the man gestured to the woman standing beside him. She returned his nod before leaning down and pricking him with the needle.
His body felt like it was on fire, the blaze started at his shoulder and spread through-out his entire body. "You can't..." His eyes began to blur as he blinked heavily against whatever medication they had giving him. " just..." He opened his mouth to try and finish the sentence that was sitting on the tip of his tongue but his brain was muddled and his mind just wouldn't focus long enough to form the words. His eyes slowly closed and darkness surrounded him.
"Good. Now," Standing straight the man turned towards the men standing around him. "the girl that was with him?"
"She got away sir."
"A fourteen year-old girl managed to out smart the governments top forces? Incompetent fools."
The leader of the small armed group started forward. "There was some complications, sir."
Chuckling softly the man smiled, petting Joshua's hair, smoothing out the unkempt locks. "Aren't there always."
"Sir, she was one of them. She almost killed Jenkins."
"And you let her get away?" The balding man glared down the black clad figure before him. "Are you so incompetent that you cant even subdue a teenager?"
"When we went you said nothing about there being two of them, only the one male. We weren't prepared properly for a fucking lightning rod of a girl!" A pause. "Sir."
Grinning, the aging man nodded. "Than my dear man, I have another job for you."
